Set up a 3D rack focus with the After Effects camera

The exact same camera lens blur effects that are available in that 2D effect are also available via the 3D camera and a 3D composite. They're more or less identical. In this lesson I'll show you how to access them. And set up a rack focus in 3D. The prerequisites are to have at least a foreground and a background. In this case, my plate layer is sitting off in the distance. Here is my camera. You can see it in these views over here. And just to give you an idea of where everything is, the position of the camera's at negative 1,777, and the position of that plate layer is positive 5,000. So that's pretty far in the background, and it's scaled up to compensate for how far away it is, but this is 3D so scaling up like that doesn't matter. Then, there's the particle layer, which is actually done with Particular. So this is a 3D layer, even though it doesn't have 3D enabled.
