So we've applied a fracture generator object which allows us to control individual elements. Break them up into individual objects and give you one central place to control them. We're in chapter 609c4d if you want to follow along. You can open up that project, too. Now, in order for this to do anything, it needs to really work in conjunction with an effector object. And effector objects, are included in this menu here.
Remember we used (INAUDIBLE), and, shear before. There are also Effectors in the MoGraph menu, if you have registered your copy of CINEMA 4D Lite. You can use these in conjunction, with the fracture generator, to create random positioning or animation. So if we apply the, random effector, it's placed at the top of the object's manager. What I need to do is I need to drag it into the same group (INAUDIBLE) as the fracture. Object or fractured generator object.
Because it needs to work on either a parent or a peer. Before we drag this effect in, we need to be very sure that we've selected our flat sharp object. So once we have, we can go to Move Graph Factor random. And you'll see immediately, I get random positioning of my text. Now if you forget to do that, and it's quite easy to do that, if you've got nothing selected. And you go to more graph effector random, you'll see it has no association with the fracture object so what you would do then is select fracture.
And just drag The random effector into the Effectors tab of the attributes manager of the (UNKNOWN) object. so you will see its a little bit more long winded doing it that way, so easier just to select it and apply it from there, once you have it then drag into the text group And make it a child of the text object a random text And there we have our random text.S And there we have our random text. Now, to control it, we select the random object, and go down here.
And, this is where we add randomness, or remove randomness. And you'll see that we have position, values that can be scrubbed, just to decide how much randomness we want. We don't want too much, because we want the text still readable, but enough just to make it a little bit interesting. Now, we can also randomize scale. So, if we open up the scale properties by clicking on this little checkbox, and then clicking on Uniform Scale you'll see we can just give it a little bit of random scale We can also switch on Rotation.
And if I just scroll across we can put a little bit of random Rotation in there It just makes it a little bit more interesting. A little bit that way as well. It's nice to have it tilting towards us a little bit. And a tiny bit in terms of the banking. So we have a little bit of randomness in there. Again, I'm just going to tweak that so let's just tweak this one here. Let's bring that a little bit To a negative value so that we get the c coming forward.
Okay, so there we have some random text. There are alll sorts of other things you can do, incuding adjusitng color in a random way. If you've applied a color, you can adjust it. Using the color controls, and once you have applied that you can go into the effective settings and adjust the strength. So there is a strength setting there and that could be used to create some interesting animation. And we'll have a look at how to do that a little bit later but that's the basics of how to use a.
Fracture object In conjunction with the Random Effector Object to create this kind of random text animation.
