In Access 2010 Essential Training, Alicia Katz Pollock gives a comprehensive overview of creating databases in Access 2010, whether using predefined database templates or building from scratch. This course covers each step of constructing and modifying databases for custom purposes, as well as working with tables, forms, queries, macros, and reports and charts for record keeping and analysis. Once you've made your reports, you will want to print them. Here's what you need to Know. Scroll down to your Navigation Pane, and double-click on your Orders by Customer Report to open it. Click on the File tab to go to Backstage view. Click on Print. You have three options: Quick Print will send one copy straight to the printer; Print will open up a dialog box to give you printing options - click Cancel. Go back to the File tab to the Backstage view to print again; Print Preview will send you back to the same print options that you saw under Report Layout and Design views.
Now notice here that you have the ability to Export into a PDF, e-mail the report directly and more options. When you click Print, either from here or from the Backstage view, you get a Standard Windows Print dialog box where you can choose your Printer and number of copies. Click OK, and you've got a copy of your report. Going to Print Preview first gives you a lot of options for how your printout will look as well, as additional output formats. Otherwise, printing in Access works just as it does in other applications.
