There will be times when you run a query based on a specific criterion, but you don't want to see it in your result. It's easy to hide those columns so you don't have to see the repeated match. For example, right now I'm in my Maryland Orders query and I am looking at it in Design View. I am searching for all the orders from the State Maryland. When I go to run the query, I can see all of my Maryland Orders and here it says, MD, MD, MD, MD. If I don't want to see this repeated list, go back into the Design View and in the State column, uncheck this box where it says Show.
Now when I run the query, I get the exact same results. They are still all orders from Maryland, but I no longer have to look at the State field in the results. Hiding the Criteria field from the query streamlines the results, so they're less cluttered and it eliminates redundancy.
