You already know that if you go up to the View button and dropdown the lower half, you can switch between the Form View, the Layout View and the Design View. But every form actually has more views in that and you can set it, so that when you double-click on the Form in the Navigation pane it opens up automatically in several different views, let's take a look. I'll switchover to the Layout View and open up your Property Sheet if it's not already open. I'll click on this gray bar on the left-hand side and that selects the entire form all at one time, you want to make sure it says Form here in the dropdown.
Now here where it says Default View, right now it says Single Form, but I actually have several different options, we specifically talk about the continuous form in another video in this title, so let's take a look at Datasheet Form. Every time I switch the view it will ask me to close and reopen the report, so I'll close it and I'll save the changes and the next time I open up my products list form, this time it looks like a table, but it really is a form. I'll change the default view again to PivotTable and close it and Save it, and this time when I open it, it opens up as a PivotTable automatically.
I'll go back to Layout View again, select my form again and dropdown the default view to PivotChart, say OK to the message, close the Form, save it and double-click to open it again, and now it opens up by default as a PivotChart. Go to Design View again, select your Form again, go to default view and you can even see it as a Split Form. So there it is, as a Split Form with a list of my products up top and an individual view down at the bottom.
Let me go ahead and put this back to my Single Form View, but it's very useful to know that you have many different options for your default views for all of your forms.
