Setting up the IK skeleton controls
Now let's go ahead and set up the IK control skeleton. Now this is very similar to how we set up the legs. So I want to have this control at the shoulder. This will be our direction control for the elbow, in other words our swivel angle. And then this will be the position control for the IK handle. So lets go ahead and start wiring up this side of the effect. So I want to, first of select the bisect here and lets add an IK solver. We're going to add an IK limb solver and then connect that to the wrist. So now we've got an IK handle, great, and notice how the constrained hand actually follows with that so that's pretty cool. So now let's go ahead and control something for the position of the base of this. So this is going to control position. So first thing I need to do is align that to this bone. So I'm going to go ahead and go Align, align it to this bone here. We're going to align position and orientation. And then I want to select this bone, and do a Position Constraint here. So…
