Video: How to use this course

As an intermediate to advanced title in 3ds Max, I will be approaching things from the standpoint that you already have a working knowledge of the software. If we start getting into a concept or technique that you are needing a little brushing up on, you can always refer to the Essential Training titles for 3ds Max in the lynda.com Online Training Library. I would also suggest that you be sure to use a three button mouse while working through the videos. Max uses all three buttons extensively, and it is going to be important that you do too. Now if you are exploring the title simply as a way to sharpen your skills, you will be happy to know that all of the chapters and subjects have been structured so that you can quickly jump to only the topics of interest that you are looking to tap into.

As an intermediate to advanced title in 3ds Max, I will be approaching things from the standpoint that you already have a working knowledge of the software. I would also suggest that you be sure to use a three button mouse while working through the videos. Max uses all three buttons extensively, and it is going to be important that you do too. With that said though, I think the best way to tackle a material is to simply hit it from the beginning. With little tidbits of advice and inside tricks sprinkled throughout the title, you truly will get the most out of the material by watching things from front to back. There's a ton of stuff here, so no matter what your level of expertise, I think you are going to be able to find something that will help you take your personal projects to the next level.
