Splitting the design into two pieces

Now I'm going to work on making the design adjustments that are necessary if I want to split this into two pieces for printing. So I have our sleeve here, that we just copied in. I'm going to flip over our knob, so I can see the back more easily. To start working on this, I'm going to need to ungroup these parts. And as I go, I'm actually going to do a little bit of restructuring, to make sure that the grouping is as simple as possible. So, for example, I'll grab this large cutting shape, and the knob handle and group those pieces together. So before I start deleting the back of the sleeve here, I want to grab some reference numbers. So, alright, I'm going to mouse over this grip and that helps me remember that this is 9mm tall. So, I'm going to go over here and just make sure that I do the same thing, because essentially, I'm going to replace this. Here, but we're going to print it separately. And now I'm going to delete the original sleeve object and that roof object. And I'm going…
