Start with the extended position
Now let's go ahead and start animating this run. Because the run has some very strong poses, we're going to focus on those poses. And the in-betweens will happen naturally. Now, I'm animating this at 24 frames a second. And I'm going to animate it at four steps per second, which is pretty fast so that's six frames per step. So with that in mind, let's go ahead and get the first pose going. Now I'm going to start by looking at this character from the side, and we're actually going to start with the extended pose, where the feet are furthest apart. Now this is right before the character lands and his weight absorbs the shock. So, the feet are actually going to be both off the ground in this pose. Then I'm going to start with the right foot, and let's go ahead and just push that right foot out pretty far. Now, in my units, I'm pushing it out about 20 units, but your character may be a little different. But somewhere around there, we're going to actually push him forward pretty far. Now…
